Updates at the Child & Youth Development Clinic
Listed below are a number of urgent supports in the community, should these resources be of interest.
As the school year gets underway, we are happy to announce that our doors are open again. Due to the wide ranging impact of COVID-19, when we closed in April we were able to continue some services virtually, at no charge to our families. To help meet our goal of being a cost-neutral clinic, effective Monday September 21, 2020 standard fees will apply for all CYDC services. Please keep in mind, that we offer a sliding fee scale for those families who qualify and never want finances to be a barrier to access any services.
As we re-open, priority will be given to those families who started an assessment before we closed. We will continue to offer some of our services in a virtual format, while others will be in-person.
Here are some changes you can expect to see:
It will be necessary to complete a health screening questionnaire the day before each scheduled appointment. Anyone exhibiting flu-like symptoms will be asked to reschedule their appointment for a later date.
Families are asked to bring 1 adult only to your child’s appointment. For those who have to bring additional children or adults, they will be asked to wait outside for the duration of your child’s appointment. Please note that some assessment appointments may take up to 3 hours to complete.
Entrance will be by the front door of the clinic; exit by the back door.
All people entering the clinic will be expected to wear a face mask and practice social distancing while in the clinic.
We are excited to announce that we have several workshops taking place over the next couple months to support London and area families. You will find information attached for each. Alternately, feel free to visit the Events page of our website.
